The fit out of the building was relatively straightforward compared with other challenges faced, although with the team constantly having to adapt to the external walls not being quite as expected, room layouts and even window blinds were being amended and changed right up to the last minute. As is typical with student accommodation, all the bathrooms were pods, so these were dropped onto the each floor before the floors were sealed off by the next floor.
Although there was not much left of the internal detail of the building, what was available was used. So for instance some of the stone roof vault springers are expressed within the rooms, and many of the rooms have interesting window arrangements. The rose window straddles two studios.
In the Sunday school, many of the studios have sections of the old roof trusses as features.
